iMP delivered a nationwide sausage roll sampling activation for Wall’s Sausage Rolls. We booked the sites, managed the permits, the staff, the transport, the logistics… the lot.

Working with Wall’s Pastry communications agency we delivered a consumer sampling campaign. Visiting 11 different cities we used Wall’s own promo van to store the chilled stock. Collecting the sausage rolls from the distribution depot each morning, our event manager delivered the tasty pastries to our sampling staff on site. Using our branded sampling bins (thermally insulated) we were able to keep the products chilled while on the move. Our dedicated team of sampling experts – plus the Wall’s costumed character – ensured a quick, friendly interaction with members of the public. And the branded sampling bins, promo van and uniform added to the visibility.

Sampling in cities.

Our driver collected the sausage rolls stock each morning from the central distribution depot. This meant a lot of logistics were involved in getting stock on time and to site, which iMP managed. We also managed additional restocking schedules. Wall’s own refrigerated van was adorned with a giant sausage roll on it roof which helped create great visual impact. Most major cities require sampling permits or event space fees. And this is where we can help. We manage and purchase permits and event spaces pretty much on a daily basis, so organise the permits was straightforward for us. Cities we sampled in were: Huddersfield, Leeds, Lincoln, Manchester, Birmingham (twice), Nottingham, Derby, Coventry, stoke, Leicester and London (twice).
