Best before end and short shelf-life sampling.
What can you do if you have a product with a short BBE (best before end) or shelf-life?
You can sample it. Quickly. With only 72 hours notice we planned and delivered a sampling campaign for Drooly brownie bars. The gooey chocolatey bars had a BBE of February 2025 which meant they needed distributing before Christmas. 5000 bars promptly arrived at our distribution unit and we got to work.
Knowing that we could sample in certain areas of the capital without the need for costly permits, we organised our London sampling teams. Within 96 hours, all the samples had been successfully distributed to happy shoppers.
Sometimes there isn’t time to create and plan an intricate or detailed media or OOH campaign. Sometimes you just need to get the product out there fast. This is where we come in. From initial brand contact to handing the sample products to consumers we can organise and execute a reactive plan very quickly.
With on-site storage and our own distribution channels we ensure that no product goes to waste.
BBE sampling is a cost-effective way to avoid product waste. Not only does it drive trial and create brand awareness, but it gets products in consumers’ hands quickly. Rather than throwing products away or sending them to landfill, it’s a more environmentally friendly way to dispose of unwanted samples.
No-one wants to see all the hard work it takes to create, market and sell a branded product go in the bin. So sampling close to the BBE date is an ideal way to do this.
Not all products on the shelves get sold. It’s just a fact. When that happens the options are limited. Disposal or sample. We’d encourage any brand to consider the latter. It will inevitably be less expensive than disposal or landfill. Plus the added benefit of exposing thousands of consumers to your product instead of binning them is invaluable.
